The CM Punjab Kissan Card Scheme is a major agricultural support initiative launched by the Punjab Agriculture Department in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The program introduces a digital ecosystem that connects multiple government departments, including PLRA, PMD, NADRA, and the Bank of Punjab (BOP), under one integrated system.
Through the CM Punjab Kissan Card, eligible farmers can access interest-free loans from sowing to harvesting. The card allows farmers to purchase essential agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, seeds, and other farming supplies from authorized vendors.
Each Kissan Card remains valid for six months per season and provides a loan of up to PKR 150,000 per farmer, calculated at PKR 30,000 per acre. The scheme is designed for farmers owning 1 to 12.5 acres of land. A one-month grace period is provided after the loan tenure for repayment, ensuring financial flexibility.
This initiative aims to improve crop productivity, enhance farm income, and promote financial inclusion across Punjab’s agricultural sector.
