The CM Punjab Livestock Card Scheme is a financial support program introduced by the Government of Punjab to strengthen the livestock sector and support small farmers. Through this initiative, eligible livestock farmers can receive short-term interest-free loans to purchase quality feed and nutritional products for calf fattening.
The main purpose of the scheme is to increase meat production, improve animal health, and raise the income level of rural families who depend on livestock for their livelihood.
What is the CM Punjab Livestock Card?
The CM Punjab Livestock Card is a government-backed financial facility that allows farmers to buy:
- Wanda (balanced animal feed)
- Silage
- Mineral mixtures
- Other approved livestock feed products
The entire process — from registration to verification and approval — is managed through a digitized system developed by PITB, ensuring transparency and quick processing.

Loan Amount & Duration
Eligible farmers can receive:
- Minimum Loan: PKR 135,000
- Maximum Loan: PKR 270,000
- Loan Duration: 4 Months
- Grace Period: 1 Additional Month for repayment
The loan is completely interest-free, which reduces financial pressure on farmers.
Scheme Targets & Phases
The government plans to distribute Livestock Cards in phases:
Phase 1 (First Year)
- 10,000 to 20,000 farmers
- Around 100,000 animals are supported
Phase 2 (Second Year)
- 30,000 to 60,000 farmers
- Around 300,000 animals are supported
Overall, 40,000 to 80,000 farmers are expected to benefit from this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
Farmers must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a resident of Punjab
- Mobile number must be registered against their own CNIC
- Must be registered in the SPMS-9211 system
- Should own 5 to 10 male calves (Buffalo or Cattle)
- Must have a clean credit history
- Should not have defaulted on previous government loan schemes
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
